Histroy of the Aromatic Fragrance Crystal May 15 th. 1998

My name is Tommy Lee I live in the small town of Newark Ohio.
As a hobby my son and I begain making candles in 1994. We made many more candles than we could ever us ourselfs. We begain giving them as gifts to family and friends. The more we made the more people wanted them. One day in early December of 1995 I was making candles to give as Christmas gifts, I accidently spilled a bottle of rose fragrance oil on the table. It quickly ran from the tables edge and spilled over the edge of the table and into a bag of potassium watersoftner pellets that was setting on the floor by the table. The fragrance oils mixed with the pelletts and a delightful fragrance filled the air all around the room. The rest is simple.
I put some of the pellets in a jar in my bathroom. The pellets kept the bathroom fresh for months. Friends and family after using my bathroom would comment on the wonderful smell of the bathroom and the ajoining bedroom. After telling them of the discovery, of course,  they wanted some for there own to use. I added color to the pellets using food coloring. Now they not only smelled good,  they looked edible and decorative. I gave pounds of it to family and friends. My mind went back to when I was in the Army. I thought of the small salt tablets that could be found all over the Army Base at Fort Campbell Ky. They were almost pushed down your throut at that time by our leaders. They were everywhere. We didn't use very many of them as a supplement. After years of study and related heart disease I think their use in the Army was cut back drastically,   but we had found a better use for them. What we did was take a set of ladies hose (everyone had ladies hose they were used in the boot shinning process) and cut the bottom toe area from the hose after pouring our favorite cologne on the salt tablets we filled the nylon hose with the salt and put them in our footlockers and around our bunk area the barricks smelled like a cologne factory  (yes Jade East was the fragrance of choice at that time). Jade East was used for many things other than cologne by putting it in a Zippo mixed with lighter fluid it made lighting up an aromic experience.
In early summer of 1996 I started working on the peletts to make them a marketable product. I also decided to market my candles. After all, everyone liked them and wanted them.   I had sold many of them to people I know. I designed labels and packaging for the Potassium pellets and I called them Aromatic Crystals for marketing punch.
I have been using them around the house and other places from the time of the spill back in 1995. I have found them to be a long lasting and delightful room air freshner that can be used by everyone.
